| The
mission of Children's Ministries is to reach out to
children and draw them into a loving, serving relationship
with Jesus Christ and with their church; and to train,
resource, and support those who minister to children.
Baptismal
Bible Study classes:
If your child is interested in studying for baptism,
please contact either Tom Grattan (First Elder) or Mary
Rogers (Children's Ministry Department Leader) to set
up studies. There are currently two small group Bible
studies at this time. We will organize additional small
group studies in January as needed.
The following illustrations were drawn by three of the
kids (David, Josue, and Crystal) in the current Bible
Study group. The cartoons depict a lesson that was meaningful
to them during their study thus far.
NEW! Coming January 2009!
Making Jesus My Best Friend Bible Studies!
These study guides are designed for children 8-10 who
are interested in learning more about the Bible with
their parents. Each lesson in this 10-chapter study
includes a story, Bible text fill in the blank exercises,
word scrambles, puzzles and word finds. Everything is
written in a large fun font that makes reading these
lesson appealing to the younger children. Children's
Ministries is recommending this as a great opportunity
to add something new to your family worship time. While
the authors of this book close the last chapter with
a copy of baptismal vows and steps, we recommend that
this study be a starting point in a child's decision
to join the family of Christ. A follow-up to this study
would be a small group Baptismal Bible Study Class.
These study guides will be made available in January
through the Children's Ministry Department.
A
child’s Christian education is our primary and
most important concern. We strive to create a safe,
loving, and fun environment where the children can grow
and enjoy their time learning God’s Word and participating
in Christian activities.
